The absence of travel during Covid-19 has shown just how much CO2 airlines produce.
Climate-conscious travellers still want to see the world, just in a greener way.
Instead of hiding, we'll offer a solution. While everyone else plants trees, we'll plant something even better ... Seaweed.
- It traps just as much CO2 as trees
- It makes the ocean less acidic, helping sea-life to flourish
- Unlike trees, seaweed grows incredibly fast
- Once used, it can be repurposed
- Barely anyone is doing it, so it's unique and own-able.
TUI will pledge to plant seaweed off the coast of their resorts for every flight booked with them. It will put the brand on track to being carbon neutral, making them one of the most desirable airlines in a post-Covid 19 world.
TUI AQUARIUM TAKEOVER
To launch the campaign, we'll take to London's Sea Life aquarium to hijack one of their main marine tanks. When visitors pass by, they'll see our creation in amongst the fish and coral: an underwater TUI resort made entirely out of seaweed.
OCEAN FOREST EXCURSIONS
Alongside our deep ocean farms, we'll also have small-scale ones especially for excursions. Guests at TUI resorts will enjoy exclusive activities, such as learning to scuba dive, planting and harvesting seaweed and making seaweed souvenirs in a dedicated workshop.
OCEAN FOREST PRODUCTS
Seaweed is perfect for cosmetic products. So, when our crops have served their core purpose, they'll be harvested and used in moisturisers, face masks and more for our resort spas and hotel rooms. What's more, edible seaweed will be added to our restaurant menus as unique Ocean Forest dishes.
All in all, we'll turn a previously humble, unattractive plant into a game-changer in the world of aviation and travel.
